History

The Boston Terrier is one of the few all-American dogs, bred in Boston after the Civil War. They are said to be a cross between a white English Terrier and an English Bulldog, and were originally used for dog fighting.

Other Facts

Boston Terriers are sometimes called the "American Gentleman" because they are great companions and originated in the United States. Boston University has a Boston Terrier mascot named Rhett.
