Siberian Husky

The Siberian Husky is said to come from the eastern Siberian peninsula and desceneded from a sled dog. They participated in the 408 mile long dogsled race in 1908 called the All-Alaskan Sweepstakes.


Medium sized, friendly expression, high ears, effortless gait, no excess weight, bushy tail with a curve

Color and Coat

Medium length double coat. They can be any color from black to white and usually have unique markings.

Friendly, gentle, alert, outgoing, dignified, intelligent

Other Facts

Siberian Husky's helped the Army during World War II with the Arctic Search and Rescue Unit. They need daily exercise because they are a hard working breed, and at least a weekly brushing of their coat. They should be supervised around small animals.
